Flowtech Fluidpower chairman wins AIM non-executive accolade
Flowtech Fluidpower announced on Friday that its non-executive director and chairman Malcolm Diamond has been recognised at the 2018 Non-Executive Director Awards, winning the award in the FTSE AIM category.
The 12th year of the awards took place on Wednesday evening at Claridge's Ballroom in London's Mayfair.
Flowtech's board described Diamond as a "highly regarded leader", who motivated his business teams to understand the dynamics of strategy, aspirations of the leadership teams and ultimately sharing success.
It said he also devoted his skills and time to local community projects and charities.
Having spent more than 40 years in industry, including 25 years within the public limited company arena, Flowtech said Diamond had a "deep understanding" of what was required of a leadership team, as well the requisite skills required in relation to marketing and communicating with the investment community both in the UK and overseas.
"I believe that people management and simple fundamental business objectives are perhaps the most crucial factors in achieving success; treating customers, staff and suppliers with equal levels of attention and respect," Diamond said on winning the award.
"I am extremely honoured to receive the FTSE AIM award for my work with Flowtech Fluidpower and thoroughly enjoy working with the board of directors."
Sean Fennon, CEO of Flowtech Fluidpower, added that the company was "extremely proud" that Diamond was recognised for the award.
"He is a valuable member of the board and a respected colleague, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.
"We look forward to utilising Malcolm's knowledge of European markets as we develop our growth plans for the future."
