Deltex wins tender with Paris hospital system
UK-based haemodynamic management company Deltex Medical Group announced on Tuesday that its French distributor had been awarded a new tender to supply Parisian hospitals with its CardioQ-ODM+ equipment.
Deltex's French distribution partner, Gamida, secured an eight-year tender to supply no less than 34,000 disposable CardioQ-ODM+ probes to the Assistance Hopitaux Publique de Paris, the public hospital system of the city of Paris and its surrounding suburbs, for a minimum value of 4m over the life of the tender.
The terms of the tender, which replaces a previous tender awarded to Gamida in 2011, will see the firm supply 70 new CardioQ-ODM+ monitors free of charge to AHPP hospitals, with Deltex adding its support by supplying the monitors to the distributor at a very low margin.
Deltex received orders for 50 monitor systems at a cost of £100,000 each to be completed for the tender, with the remaining 20 monitors to be supplied out of Gamida's own inventory.
Ewan Phillips, Deltex Medical's chief executive, said, "This is the largest value tender ever awarded anywhere for the Company's products and consolidates our strong market position in France, especially in Paris. France is our largest export market by volume and second only to the USA by value."
As of 1340 GMT, shares had dialed up 5.66% to 1.40p.
