IronRidge Resources issues update on Côte d'Ivoire projects
AIM-listed mineral exploration company IronRidge Resources has been granted four licenses in Côte d'Ivoire, where interim exploration programmes have been completed and new fieldwork has commenced.
IronRidge was recently granted licenses at Marahui, Vavoua South, Vavoua North and Adzope within its Kineta and Vavoua gold project and Adzope lithium portfolios, respectively.
Soil sampling at Kineta North and the Bianouan old licenses had already been wrapped up, with assay results expected during the second quarter and IronRidge's extensive auger drilling, pitting and extensional soil sampling programme kicked off at the renewed Bodite gold license for a total of 1,169 auger holes.
A geochemical loam and stream sediment sampling and mapping programme was launched over the Adzope lithium license in Côte d'Ivoire, which IronRidge believes represents an "underexplored and highly prospective gold and lithium-rich terrain".
Vincent Mascolo, chief executive of IronRidge, said, "We are pleased to have four licenses granted in Côte d'Ivoire, which will allow us to accelerate exploration across our gold and lithium portfolios in the country."
"We expect to receive news flow from our Ivory Coast projects as well as from our Chadian and Ghanaian projects in the near future and we look forward to keeping shareholders updated," he added.
As of 0840 BST, IronRidge shares had picked up 1.61% to 31.50p
