Mountfield smashes annual record in under six months
Mountfield Group announced on Thursday that its subsidiary Connaught Access Flooring has secured £8.5m of work so far since the start of 2018, more than in any entire year in its history.
The AIM-listed group won two new contracts worth over £0.9m. The first, worth £0.5m, is with a longstanding client and concerns installation of raised access flooring in a Swedish data centre, while the second is worth approximately £0.43m for raised floor and acoustic flooring work as part of a refurbishment project in London's Docklands.
Mountfield chief executive Andy Collins professed himself to be "delighted" that the company has managed to break its record for a full year in just under six months.
"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work again in Scandinavia, a region where we have extensive experience and in which we expect to be involved in similar works in the near future," said Collins.
The construction support and property services provider said Connaught, which has now secured £8.5m of work for the year, has already started work on both contracts and expects to achieve completion before the end of the year.
As of 0844 BST, Mountfield Group's shares were up 5.26% at 2.00p.
