Idox appoints 'high calibre' chief executive
Specialist information management solutions and services outfit Idox confirmed on Friday that David Meaden has been appointed as chief executive, effective immediately.
Meaden's 22-year career includes a 12-year stint as chief executive at leading supplier of specialist software Northgate Public Services (NPS), an information technology and business process outsourcing services to public sector markets firm.
NPS was a part of FTSE 250 company Northgate Information Solutions and Meaden was a member of the PLC Board from 2004 through to the company's 2007 sale to US Private Equity firm KKR.
He then steered the company through its sale to Cinven in 2014.
David Meaden said: "I am delighted to be joining Idox at this very important point in its development. I have known Idox for many years as a leading player in the public sector solutions and services market and am confident that it has both attractive products and talented people. I look forward to starting work in June and continuing the transformation of the business."
Meaden has substantial experience working with the UK public sector from his time with Northgate Public Services, which was a leading provider to local government, police, healthcare and central government agencies.
Furthermore, he successfully integrated nine acquisitions during his time at the helm of NPS.
Laurence Vaughan, chairman of Idox, said: "We are delighted to have secured such as high calibre leader as David Meaden as Idox's new Chief Executive. His previous experience with the UK Public Sector and software development at Northgate Public Services, where he was until recently Chief Executive, is especially relevant."
Vaughan said Meaden will focus on returning Idox to growth and profitability through digital transformation and public sector governance solutions.
Meanwhile, the company's interim chief executive Richard Kellett-Clarkehas returned to his role as non-executive director.
