Industrial property owner SEGRO sent out mixed messages with its 2011 results, with earnings per share up, net asset value (NAV) per share down and profits before tax turning into a loss.

City sources predict the FTSE 100 will open down by around 11 points from yesterday's close of 5,945, as investors shift their attention to the challenges that lay ahead in getting both the Greek and the wider Eurozone economy back on track. Some analysts seem to be attaching particular importance now to whether or the country´s debt swap will be successful or not and if credit default swaps on Greek debt will be triggered or not. As well, some observers are now asking the difficult question of whether enough has been done or not. The euro/dollar is slightly higher, moving up by 0.14% to 1.3250.

City sources predict the FTSE 100 will open up around 42 points from Friday's close of 5,905, following Friday's news that the People´s Bank of China is to cut its legal reserve ratio requirement for large banks by half a percentage point. As well, different reports out over the weekend are making for a better news-flow around Greece. More specifically, there seems to be some official support now for the idea of increasing the size of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). As well, China and Japan may be more willing to participate in an increase of the funds which are put at the disposal of the International Monetary Fund.
