Questor in the Telegraph goes back in to bat for one of his tips of the year, publishing and events company Informa. Currently trading at just 8.9 times 2012 earnings and yielding five per cent the maths look good. The firm runs 9,000 conferences annually, from which it ought to be able to milk strong earnings, if the Eurozone crisis doesn't wipe us all out completely. Questor says buy.

In the Telegraph, Questor is into his sausages, Cranswick sausages to be precise. The company has had a strong start to the year, up seven per cent while also organising a smooth transition of senior management when the current Chief Executive quits in August. With revenues up 8.2 per cent, profits up 2.7 per cent and the company having enough confidence to hike the dividend Cranswick is a hold.

UK food supplier Cranswick saw sales and profits beat expectations in the year ended March 31st, as it announced that its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) would be stepping down in the summer.

European leaders agreed on a permanent rescue fund for the Eurozone, and 25 out of 27 EU states backed a fiscal pact for stricter budget discipline in the Eurozone, while a deal on Greek debt is expected in "days". Only Britain and the Czech Republic refused to agree to the fiscal compact, due to be signed in March, that will impose quasi-automatic sanctions on countries that breach European Union budget deficit limits and pledge balanced budget rules will go into national law. Prime Minister David Cameron said further reforms were still needed by Eurozone states to end the debt crisis in the region. I don't think this treaty on its own will sort the Eurozone's problems," he said after the leaders' meeting in Brussels. "There is a fiscal problem but there is also a competitiveness issue," according to The Telegraph.
