Metal Tiger joint venture seeks approval for Botswana work
Strategic natural resource opportunities investor Metal Tiger updated the market on its 30-70 joint venture project with MOD Resources in Botswana's Kalahari Copper Belt on Monday, reporting that an application has been lodged with the Botswana Department of Environmental Affairs for an environmental management plan for drilling within the 697 square kilometre T20 Dome complex.
The AIM-traded firm said the T20 Dome environmental management plan would allow the drilling of new and existing targets identified along a 140 kilometre-long strike of the central structural corridor.
An additional 939 square kilometre airborne electromagnetic geophysics survey coverage was planned to start in the middle of the year, the board added, to link up the previous three electromagnetic trail survey blocks over the centre of the T20 Dome.
"The submission of the environmental management plan for the T20 Dome will, where awarded, provide access to important strategic ground for the joint venture and open up an additional 697km2 of under explored and prospective Kalahari copper belt for drilling," said Metal Tiger CEO Michael McNeilly.
"Opening the T20 Dome for drilling will allow the possibility of adding to a pipeline of confirmed copper targets whilst we move the T3 Resource through the mine feasibility study process.
"With the recently awarded T3 Dome EMP, drilling is planned to commence at the T3 Dome in May, and we look forward to the prospect of exciting drill intersections."
