On Monday, government data on federal budget balance was reported in United States. Japan reported its preliminary data on machine tool orders, household confidence and corporate goods price index. In Switzerland, official data on employment level was released.
On Tuesday, December 13th, 2011, official data on retail sales was published in United States while US Federal Reserve released its federal funds rate. In euro zone, ZEW Center for Economic Research released a report on German economic sentiment. In United Kingdom, official data on consumer price inflation was published along with data on house price inflation.
In Japan, official data on tertiary industry activity was reported while in Australia government data on housing starts and business confidence. In Switzerland, official forecast on economic growth along with data on employment and inflation was published.
On Wednesday December 14th, 2011, official data on industrial production will be released in the euro zone while in United States, government data on import prices and crude oil inventories was reported, moreover, Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries will be held to discuss issues of energy markets. Official data on employment, claimant count change, unemployment rate and average hourly earnings will be released in United Kingdom.
Australia will publish its data on consumer sentiment while Japan will report revised data on country’s industrial production. In Switzerland, government data on producer price inflation will be published while ZEW Center for Economic Research will release data on Swiss economic expectations.
On Thursday December 15th, 2011, United States will release several reports which will include data on initial jobless claims, data on producer price inflation, industrial production, capacity utilization, current account figure and data on TIC long term purchases and manufacturing activity in New York and Philadelphia. In United Kingdom, government data on retail sales, consumer inflation expectations and industrial orders expectations will be published.
In euro zone, preliminary data on manufacturing and service sector activity will be reported while France and Germany will release their individual reports on both sectors. Official data on consumer price data and employment change will also be published in euro region. The European Central Bank will release its monthly bulletin, moreover, ECB President Mario Draghi will publicly speak at an event which will be closely watched to assess the future direction of the monetary policy.
Japan will report its official data on manufacturing and service sector activity while Australia will published data on inflation expectations and new vehicle sales. In Switzerland, official data on industrial production will be reported while Swiss National Bank will release its benchmark interest rate.
On Friday, December 16th, 2011, United States will report its data consumer price inflation. In Euro zone, Mario Draghi will again publicly address at an event on Friday. In Canada, government data on balance of foreign investment will be released.
