Unemployment Rate Reaches its Record High in United Kingdom
Recession surrounds all over the globe and now United Kingdom reaches its record level since 1996 in terms of its unemployment rate. UK’s unemployment rate has increased to 8.3 percent for the quarter ending in September as compared to 8.1 percent for the three months ending in August.
As per the latest report of U.K’s Office of National Statistics, unemployed British workers have increased by 129,000 to 2.62 million in the respective period making it highest since 1996. Likewise the UK’s jobless claims have increased to 5,300 in the month of October whereas analysts expected the increase of 22,500.
