Microsoft suffers stunning EU antitrust defeat
BRUSSELS/LUXEMBOURG (Reuters) – Microsoft suffered a stunning defeat on Monday when a European Union court backed a European Commission ruling that the U.S. software giant illegally abused its market power to crush competitors.

Stocks, sterling falls as N.Rock woes deepen
LONDON (Reuters) – Asian and European stocks fell on Monday while sterling hit a one-year low as concerns over financing for banks grew after UK mortgage lender Northern Rock tapped the Bank of England for an emergency loan last week.
