Interstate gets final 30 days to settle with union
KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Reuters) – A U.S. bankruptcy judge on Wednesday gave Interstate Bakeries Corp a final 30 days to settle differences with a key union and come up with a plan to begin bringing the maker of Wonder bread and Twinkies snacks out of bankruptcy.
NEW YORK (Reuters) – Activist investor Ralph Whitworth is stepping up pressure on Sprint Nextel Corp’s chief executive, Gary Forsee, and other directors of the wireless carrier, the Wall Street Journal reported on its Web site, citing an interview with Whitworth.
