Weekly Outlook for Forex
Major economic events that have significant affect on Forex markets for the week ending October 14th, 2011 are as follows:
On Monday, October 10th, debt markets in Untied States remained closed in observance of the Columbus Day while stock markets remained opened as usual. Markets in Canada also remained closed due to Thanksgiving holiday. In euro zone, data on investor confidence was reported while France released its official figure on industrial production. Australia reported a detailed report on job advertisement whereas in Japan markets are remained closed due to national holiday.
Today on October 11th, data on economic optimism was reported while in Canada official data on housing starts was published. In euro zone, ECB President Jean Claude Trichet spoke before European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Committee while in United Kingdom official report on manufacturing production, retail sales and house prices was released. Australia reported its data on business confidence while In Japan, the central bank released its monthly report.
On Wednesday, October 12th, 2011, US Federal Reserve will release the minutes of its latest monetary policy setting meeting while in Canada, official data on house price inflation is to be published. In euro zone official data on industrial production will be reported while United Kingdom will release the data on claimant count change, average earnings and country’s unemployment rate.
In Japan, official data on machinery orders will be released while New Zealand will report its data on food price inflation and manufacturing activity. Australia is expected to report its data on consumer sentiment and home loans on Wednesday.
On Thursday, October 13th, 2011, United States will publish its data on jobless claims, crude oil inventories, federal budget balance and trade balance. Canada is also expected to report its official figure on trade balance on Thursday.
In Japan, the central bank will release the minutes of its latest monetary policy meeting along with official data on tertiary industry activity. Australia will report is official data on country’s unemployment rate and inflation expectations.
In euro zone, ECB will report its monthly bulletin while Germany will release its official figure on consumer price inflation.
On Friday, October 14th, 2011, several reports will be reported in United States which will include data on retail sales, import prices and business inventories. Moreover, University of Michigan is to report its data on consumer sentiment and inflation expectations. In Canada, official data on manufacturing sales will be published.
In euro zone, official data on consumer price inflation and region’s trade balance will be published on Friday.
