Economy adds 110,000 Sept jobs
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. economy added a solid 110,000 new jobs in September and hiring in each of the two previous months was revised up significantly, the Labor Department said on Friday, showing a more resilient labor market than previously thought.

LONDON/AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – Britain’s Barclays on Friday conceded defeat in the 7-month battle for Dutch lender ABN AMRO and a rival trio led by Royal Bank of Scotland moved in to clinch the world’s biggest bank takeover.
