Sallie Mae $25 billion takeover on verge of collapse
NEW YORK (Reuters) – A $25 billion takeover of Sallie Mae was on the verge of collapse on Wednesday after the student lender said a consortium does not expect to complete its planned acquisition on the agreed terms.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – The Nasdaq Stock Market Inc said on Wednesday that it received regulatory approval from the China Securities Regulatory Commission to open a representative office in Beijing.
