EchoStar mulls spinoff of assets

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Satellite television operator EchoStar Communications Corp said on Tuesday that it was considering a spinoff of its technology and infrastructure assets into a publicly traded company separate from its consumer pay-TV business.

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – Dutch builder Royal BAM Groep said on Tuesday it is selling its U.S. subsidiary Flatiron Construction Corp for 172 million euros ($242.7 million) to Germany’s Hochtief AG and raised its 2007 sales and profit targets.
