The volume of passengers flying with low cost airline easyJet rose 3.4% in the month ending February 2013 to 4.11m compared to 3.98m one year earlier.

The load factor increased by 2.9 percentage points to 90.5% over the same time frame.

Over the 12 months ending February 2013, the volume rose 7% to 59.49m and the load factor rose 1.4 percentage points to 88.2%.

easyJet's share price was down 0.10% to 1,047p at 09:43 on Wednesday morning.
