Video search engine blinkx on Tuesday announced a partnership with multimedia company The Taunton Press.

Taunton Press will provide blinkx access to videos from experts in gardening, home and renovation.

Channels including Fine Cooking, Threads, Fine Woodworking, Fine Gardening, and Fine Homebuilding, will be integrated.

blinkx will place relevant advertising against the videos and share revenue with Taunton Press.

"From the novice crafter to an experienced home renovator, people are turning to online video guides for projects as simple as planting seeds or as complex as building a shed," said Julia Blystone, Chief Marketing Officer of blinkx.

"Through this partnership with The Taunton Press, a trusted name in hands-on projects for over 30 years, our users will have access to high-quality tips and techniques from the best in various creative fields, making blinkx a one-stop destination for all their DIY needs."

The agreement comes two weeks after blinkx announced it joined forces with video sharing website Dailymotion to expand its content. blinkx has embedded Dailymotion's player alongside its own content to improve access to videos including TV clips, film trailers and comedy sketches.

Shares in blinkx fell 1.18% to 63.00p at 10:25 Tuesday.
