As investors anxiously await the European Central Bank (ECB) policy meeting this Thursday, Eurozone politicians continue their 'horse trading' as they hold talks on the current crisis and attempt to move forward on solutions.

The first Eurozone leader on the schedule for European Council President Herman Van Rompuy is German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Van Rompuy is doing the rounds in an attempt to hammer out a plan for the European Summit in October.

Also of note, French President François Hollande is currently comparing notes with Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti. It should be noted that both leaders have led the fight against Merkel with their insistence that Europe, particularly Greece, needs to focus on implementing measures to stimulate growth rather than becoming obsessed with austerity.

The following is a list of Eurozone meetings scheduled for this week

Tuesday: French President François Hollande meets with Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti (09:00 London time). European Council President Herman Van Rompuy meets with German Chancellor Angela Merkel (11:30).

Wednesday: European Council President Herman Van Rompuy meets with French President François Hollande (14:00).

Thursday: German Chancellor Angela Merkel meets with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy (12:00).

Friday: European Council president Herman Van Rompuy meets with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras (16:00).

Saturday: European Council President Herman Van Rompuy meets with Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti (15:00).
