Industrial conglomerate United Technologies is 'lining up' financing for a US acquisition that could shape up as the diversified manufacturer's biggest takeover in a decade, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter, Reuters reports.
One person said the financing could top $20bn.
Amongst some of the companies which the market seems to be deducing are the most likely candidates to be taken over are several smaller aerospace outfits, such as: Goodrich, Rockwell Collins and Textron.
