High-tech defence firm Ultra Electronics has announced further contract wins by both its Command & Control Systems business and its PMES business.

The contracts, which have been awarded by Rolls-Royce and which have a combined value of just over £27m, are for the supply of Ultra's Reactor Control and Instrumentation systems.

The scope of the contracts includes the manufacture of multiple systems and spares.

Chief Executive Rakesh Sharma said: "We have been successfully partnered with Rolls-Royce for over six years on this programme."

Ultra's role is that of equipment designer and manufacturer for the control and instrumentation suite and includes the full spectrum of system engineering disciplines, including requirements capture, architecture design, development, verification and qualification.
