The senior management board at ARM Holdings, the FTSE 100 chip designer, unveiled multiple share disposals on Thursday, with the transactions coming just one day after the group posted a 16 per cent rise in pre-tax profit for the fourth quarter.

Warren East, the Chief Executive Officer of ARM since 2001, sold 200,000 shares at 927.34p each, earning himself a total of £1.85m.

The sale was made alongside the disposal of 135,513 shares which he had exercised at an option price of 132.5p and sold for 929.42p. His stake in the company now stands at just under 1.09m shares.

Tim Score, who has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company for over 10 years, also traded in 200,000 shares, although his were disposed of at 923p, generating £1.8m. He also exercised options over shares, subsequently selling all 114,959 at 922.12p.

A similar transaction was made by Mike Muller, one of the founders of the group and also its Chief Technology Officer, who traded in 200,000 shares at 927.12p a time, and sold another 80,830 shares following the exercise of options over those shares. He now holds 1.14m shares in the company.

The group said Tuesday that revenues for the three month period totalled £164.2m, up 19% year-on-year, beating the £151m forecast by analysts at Jefferies International.

Earnings per share for the period rose 10% to 4.08p, slighting ahead of market expectations of 4.07p.
