Salamander Energy, an independent upstream oil and gas exploration and production company, has said the Bravo jacket is now en route to the Bualuang oil field, where the company's operated block B8/38 is located, in the Gulf of Thailand.

The jacket will be installed once the equipment reaches the block, which is scheduled for October 27th.

The firm also reported that the Bualuang Field is currently producing over 8,200 barrels of oil per day, with the Bravo Platform on course to be ready to receive the Atwood Mako rig around the middle of November.

A 16-well development drilling programme will begin in the second half of November, which is set to result in a significant increase in production from the Bualuang field.

2012 average daily production for the group remains in line with previous guidance of 10,500 - 11,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Meanwhile, the B8/38-8 (NW-1) well continues to drill ahead below 740m measured depth and is expected to reach total depth in around 10 days' time.
