Mark Rutte has been reelected as Dutch Prime Minister after his liberal VVD (People's Party for Freedom and Democracy) party won 41 of the possible 150 seats.
With 98.9% of the votes tallied, PvdA (Labour Party) came in second with 39 seats.
Rutte promised last night to begin the formation of a coalition government today. Though the formation of a "pro-euro" government was already priced in, analysts at Barclays had warned that these negotiations could take "more than 125 days as was the case in the 2010 elections. Thus, this will be an important source of uncertainty for the Eurozone."
