The press has begun to talk about the measures agreed on by Greek coalition government members although no official announcements have been made.

The Guardian correspondent Helena Smith said that the agreement may still undergo possible adjustments once presented to the 'Troika' - the European Commission, the International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank - although most of the savings will come from government spending, pensions, and public worker salaries.

Specifically:

- Savings of €10.5bn are expected from government spending cuts and €3bn through new taxes.

- €6.5bn in savings from reduced public salaries, pensions, and social benefits. Public workers may be laid off.

- An increase to the retirement age is being considered, from 65 to 67 by 2013.

Greek finance minister Yannis Stournaras said that a draft proposal is expected to be presented to the 'Troika' on Monday.
