Microsaic Systems pens distribution deal with Omicron Research
Mass spectrometry instrument developer Microsaic Systems on Wednesday signed an agreement with Omicron Research for the distribution of Microsaic's 4500 MiD MS detector.
According to Microsaic, the 4500 MiD MS detector combines a vacuum system, electronics and computer inside one box, and can be installed where no other mass spectrometer can be easily deployed, all while retaining the performance of a conventional mass spectrometer system.
The AIM traded company said that the agreement will utilise Omicron's established UK distribution network, as well as the company's experience as "leading distributors" of a variety of medical technology.
Glenn Tracey, chief executive of Microsaic, said: "I am delighted to partner with one of the leading distributors of CAMAG-branded Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) equipment in the UK."
Tracey also highlighted Omicron Research's "strong reputation" for its applications expertise and customer service.
Sam Stringer, commercial director of Omicron Research Ltd, said: "Demand on our customers in the field of planar chromatography for further structural elucidation of their components is high, and Microsaic can provide an elegant, complementary solution to help facilitate this. Building on existing collaborations, we believe this combination of expertise and technology will be highly successful in the UK marketplace."
As of 1136 BST, Microsaic Systems' shares were down 2.44% at 2.00p.
