AIM-listed defence contractor Manroy has received new contracts totalling £1.8m for new and existing customers, an update from the company has disclosed.

The new contracts add to the group's existing £9.0m order book reported in Manroy's announcement of results for the year ending September 30th, increasing Manroy's order book to approximately £11m.

Glyn Bottomley, Chief Executive Officer of Manroy, said: "It is encouraging to see the hard work invested over the last two years begin to reap rewards as these contract wins demonstrate our success in winning new and strategically important customers for the Group."

Manroy was formed in 1975 with the purpose of supporting the spares requirements of the British Army.

In 1980, it started producing 0.50" M2HB Heavy Machine Guns. It now offers a variety of equipment, weapons and machinery including Barrel conversion kits, lightweight towbars and 7.62mm Para Commando Machine Guns.
