IQE in 'advanced discussions' over potential acquisition

IQE, which supplies semiconductor wafer products and services, has confirmed speculation that it is in 'advanced discussions regarding a potential significant acquisition'.
The board said it is evaluating potential financing options, which include debt finance and equity finance, but stressed the pricing, sizing and terms of any equity financing will be subject to market conditions and demand.
"There can be no certainty that any transaction will occur, or its terms and conditions," it added.
The news proved unpopular, with the share price falling 6.45% to 29pby 14:06.
