Kate Bostock, the former Marks & Spencer (M&S) fashion boss, is joining the board of fast-growing online fashion outfit ASOS.

Bostock's arrival at ASOS has been rumoured ever since she announced her departure from M&S in July after an underwhelming trading performance by the high street retail giant.

Prior to joining M&S she was product director for Asda's George label.

As Bostock comes in through the in-door, ASOS's product director, Robert Bready, goes out through the out-door.

Nick Robertson, ASOS Chief Executive Officer, thanked Bready for his "significant contribution to the company," saying he played a major role in the "development of the ASOS story".

"Our Product and Trading team now exceeds 350 people. We are fortunate to have Kate bring us her wealth of experience from some of the biggest names in retailing as we strengthen our retail disciplines and put in place the structures needed to manage the next phase of our growth," Robertson added.
