Enquest offered 11 permits in latest oil and gas licensing round

North Sea operator EnQuest has been offered 11 licences in the 27th Oil and Gas Licensing Round of the UK's Department of Energy and Climate Change.
The company applied for fourteen blocks, and is awaiting the results of two applications that are yet to be announced.
Eight of the licences will be operated by Enquest, with the remaining three operated by other firms.
Amjad Bseisu, EnQuest Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are pleased by the offer of these licences which complement and build on the strength of our existing portfolio in the North Sea. Having secured so many of the applications we made, yesterday's successes in this 27th round provide us with a raft of interesting new opportunities for growth."
