Two Domino's Pizza directors made the most of a glowing set of fourth-quarter results out from its US parent company on Thursday by using it to sell off a super-size slice of their shares without upsetting the share price.

Nigel Wray, a non-executive Director, disposed of £29.4m-worth of shares, which equated to just under 5.68m shares sold at 518p each, reducing his stake to 4.91m shares.

Stephen Hemsley, the non-executive Chairman, more than halved his stake to 1.1m shares with the sale of 1.79m, also at 518p.

The transactions were made on Thursday, the same day the pizza company posted a 22% rise in its fourth quarer profit to $37.6m (2011 Q4: $30.9m), following a strong performance abroad.

Revenue climbed 7.6% to $539.7m on the back of higher sales and international store openings.

For its part, the UK-listed arm of the group this week delivered a 10.8% rise in pre-tax profit to £46.7m for the 53 weeks to December 30th, strengthened by a rise in online sales systems.
