Defence technology firm Cobham has announced a deal to supply aerial refuelling technology to Embraer, one of the world's biggest aircraft manufacturers.
The deal will see Cobham design and supply the aerial refuelling probe for Embraer's KC-390 Tactical Military Transport and Tanker Aircraft.
The award follows Cobham's recent announcement that it will develop and supply the KC-390 wing-mounted aerial refuelling pods.
"We are delighted to have been selected, and we are confident that Embraer, the Brazilian Air Force, the KC-390 program and future export customers of the aircraft will benefit from Cobham's extensive expertise at meeting aerial refuelling operational needs," said Cobham Mission Equipment's vice president, Iain Gibson.
"Cobham is strongly committed to the KC-390 programme, and we are looking forward to participating with Embraer in its future success."
Last month the firm said it had completed the sale of its Analytic Solutions business for $350m in cash on a debt and cash free basis.
The group estimates that after costs it has generated a gain on sale - including goodwill and other intangibles - of approximately $20m.
