Carrefour leads gains on Cac after annual report

Carrefour was leading the gainers on the Cac 40 on Thursday morning after publishing its annual report.
France's largest retailer saw net profit soar to €1.23bn in 2012, from the €371m reported for 2011. The figure beat the €810.9bn analyst forecast.
Excluding asset sales in Colombia, recurring earnings did drop to €113m. Weakness continued in Europe where operating profit fell 21% amidst the crisis. However, the retailer managed to increase operating income in France by 3.5%.
Carrefour was trading up 3.18% to €22.0650.
