Semiconductor manufacturer CML Microsystems moved into profit in the year to 31 March as demand for the company's products in wireless technology and data storage systems continued growing.
Pre-tax profit came in at £2.32m for the period, compared with a loss of £386,000 the previous year. Revenues climbed to £22.12m from £18.02m.
The wireless division, which supplies chips used in two-way radios and other telecommunications devices and accounts for 43% of revenues, saw sales growth of 28%. The storage division, which accounts for about 40% of revenues, saw sales growth of 22%.
"This was an important year in the group's objective for sustainable business growth and a much improved trading performance was posted," said managing director Chris Gurry.
"General conditions within the majority of our focus market and application areas improved, following the healthier visibility seen towards the end of the prior year."
