Bilby sees 'considerable progress' across London and the South-East
Building services firm Bilby announced on Wednesday that it had made "considerable progress" during its first trading half, as companies within the group continued to take market share in their target markets of London and the UK's South-East.
By winning new large-scale contracts with several major organisations, including those with East Kent Housing, Saxon Weald and Bexley councils, Groveland Care Homes and additional contract work for the Ministry of Defence, Bilby said it had seen progress in the trading year move substantially ahead of schedule.
Bilby advised that it had already won a number of new clients since the beginning of 2018, including Wandsworth Council and the University of Essex, and had recently secured "a significant tender" to provide gas heating upgrade services for an unnamed leading housing association.
The AIM-quoted firm also advised that a number of existing and long-standing customers, including Hyde Housing, had recently invited it to broaden the scope of the work that it provides, which Bilby said: "reflects the success of the group's buy and build acquisition strategy".
Sangita Shah, non-executive chairman of Bilby, said, "Our strong performance reflects the success of our core commitment to provide excellent customer service. This focus has driven the growth of our customer base and has given long-standing customers the confidence to increase the scope of work we do for them. Pleasingly, this momentum enables significant long-term revenue visibility and gives the Board confidence that Bilby is well positioned for the years ahead."
As of 1000 GMT, shares had jumped 11.99% to 106.95p.
