Avanti's share price rose more than 3% after it announced an agreement with BT around the provision of its Business Internet Continuity product.
The product uses a satellite broadband system to provide back up to terrestrial telecoms circuits, providing a highly diverse alternative routing for data and giving businesses greater resilience for their IP based operations.
Avanti said the product offers cost effective, true physical diversity for IP communications traffic.
Avanti's share price increased by 3.23% to 311.5p by 14:09.
BT's share price also rose, heading up by 3.68% to 191.4p.
