Far East Russia-focused Amur Minerals' application for a mining licence at its Kun-Manie nickel-copper exploration project has been approved by three of the four external agencies involved in the process.

Russian state regulator Rosnedra told the company the application has been passed by both the Ministry of Defence and Federal Security Service, while the Federal Anti-monopoly Services has provided a resolution regarding approval.

All that's needed now is input and information from the Ministry of Economic Development (MED), the department responsible for establishing the projected average market price of nickel-copper concentrate to be used in setting the expected payments and fees related to the mining licence.

Amur expects the MED will provide its affirmative input and approval in due course.
